Terms of Service
Effective October 19, 2026
These terms apply when you use k-appliances.com or request or receive appliance repair, maintenance, cleaning or installation from Kingdom Appliances LLC ("Kingdom Appliances," "we," "us"). "You" means the person requesting service. By booking service, approving an estimate, or using this website, you agree to these terms. Please read them, especially the sections on fees, payment, and our responsibility.
In short: we tell you the price before we repair anything, nothing is repaired without your approval, the diagnostic fee is owed for every visit, and payment is due by the due date on your invoice.
1. Our services
We provide residential appliance repair, maintenance, cleaning and installation in Charlotte, NC and the nearby towns on our Service Areas page. We may decline any job, including work outside our service area, on commercial equipment, or on appliances we cannot service safely. Some repairs, such as sealed-system (refrigerant) work, may be outside the services we offer.
2. Authorization
- By booking, you confirm you are at least 18 and are the owner of the appliance and property, or are authorized by the owner (for example, a landlord or property manager) to request and pay for the work.
- If you book for a tenant or another person, you remain responsible for payment unless we agree in writing that someone else will pay.
- Approval of an estimate may be given in person, by signature, by text message, by email or by phone, and each counts as your written authorization to proceed and to be charged the approved amount.
3. Appointments, cancellations and access
- A request through our website, phone or text is not confirmed until we confirm a time with you. Times are arrival windows, and traffic, parts and earlier jobs can cause delays.
- An adult (18 or older) must be present for the visit. The appliance must be reachable, the work area clear, and pets secured.
- Please cancel or reschedule as early as possible by calling or texting us. If no one is home, the appliance cannot be reached, or the visit is cancelled after we are on the way, a trip charge equal to the diagnostic fee may apply.
- We may stop or refuse work in unsafe conditions, including gas leaks, exposed or faulty wiring, standing water, mold, pest infestation, or any situation our technician considers unsafe. A trip or diagnostic fee may still apply.
4. Diagnostic fee
- Every service visit includes a diagnostic fee, which we tell you when you book. It covers the trip and the time to diagnose the problem.
- The diagnostic fee is non-refundable and is due whether or not you choose to repair, including when an appliance is not worth repairing or cannot be repaired.
- If you approve the repair, we will tell you whether the diagnostic fee is credited toward it.
5. Estimates and approval
- We give you the price before any repair begins. No repair is performed without your approval.
- Estimates are based on what can be seen and tested at the visit. Some problems only appear once work starts, or a replacement part reveals another failed part. If the job changes, we will stop and ask for your approval before doing additional work.
- Estimates are valid for the time stated on them. Part prices can change before you approve.
6. Parts
- Parts may need to be ordered, which may require a second visit. Delivery times depend on suppliers, and we are not responsible for supplier or manufacturer delays.
- We may require payment for parts before ordering. Special-order and electrical parts are generally non-returnable once ordered or installed.
- We do not warranty parts you supply yourself. If you ask us to install your own part, labor charges apply even if that part is defective, incorrect or fails.
- Replaced parts become ours to dispose of unless you ask to keep them before the visit ends.
- Parts and equipment left with us or not picked up within 30 days after notice may be disposed of.
7. Payment
- Payment is due by the due date on your invoice, or on completion of the work if no due date is given. You can pay online by card through our invoice link or by other methods we accept.
- A returned or declined payment may be charged a fee of up to the amount allowed by law.
- If an account is sent to collections or legal action is needed to collect, you agree to pay reasonable costs of collection, including court costs and attorney's fees where allowed by law.
- Unpaid balances may receive reminder messages by text or email.
8. Payment disputes and chargebacks
If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first so we can make it right. Disputing a charge with your bank or card company for work you approved and that was completed is a breach of these terms. We will respond to any dispute with records such as your approval, invoice, photos and messages, and any amount reversed remains owed to us along with the costs of collecting it. Warranty coverage is suspended while a payment is in dispute.
9. Pre-existing conditions and your property
- We are not responsible for conditions that existed before our visit, including rust, corrosion, worn or brittle parts, prior damage, improper installation, or code issues in your home's plumbing, gas or electrical systems.
- Older plastic parts, latches, knobs, panels and clips can be brittle and may break during normal service. We are not responsible for this, though we will try to source replacements.
- Moving an appliance can mark or scratch floors, cabinets and walls, especially when an appliance is tightly installed. Please clear the area and tell us about sensitive flooring. We are not responsible for damage from normal, careful movement of the appliance.
- Existing water supply lines, shut-off valves, drain hoses and gas connectors can leak or fail when disturbed. We may recommend replacing them; if you decline, we are not responsible for leaks or failures they cause.
- We are not responsible for lost or spoiled food, medicine, laundry or other contents of an appliance during or after service.
10. Warranty
- Repairs include a 3-month parts and labor warranty on the parts we supply and our labor, unless your invoice states otherwise. The warranty starts on the date the work is completed and is also stated on your invoice.
- The warranty covers only the specific repair and parts listed on the invoice, not other parts or new problems.
- Warranty coverage begins once the invoice is paid in full.
- The warranty does not cover misuse, accidents, power surges, lightning, water or flood damage, pests, normal wear, cosmetic damage, commercial use, or any repair or adjustment by anyone other than us.
- If you have a warranty concern, contact us first and give us a chance to fix it. We are not responsible for another company's charges for work under our warranty.
- Manufacturer warranties on parts are handled under the manufacturer's terms.
11. Limitation of liability
We work carefully and stand behind our work, but appliances are mechanical and can fail for reasons unrelated to our repair. To the fullest extent allowed by law: we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as food spoilage, water damage from existing plumbing or hookups, lost time or income, or hotel and laundromat costs; and our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under North Carolina or South Carolina law that cannot be waived.
12. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information about the appliance, the problem and the property.
- Tell us about known hazards before the visit.
- Follow our recommendations for safe use, and stop using an appliance we tell you is unsafe. We are not responsible for harm from continued use of an appliance we advised you not to use.
13. Photos and records
We may take photos of the appliance, model and serial tags, parts and the work area for diagnosis, parts ordering, warranty and our records. We do not publish photos showing you, your family or identifying details of your home without permission.
14. New customer offer
New customers may receive $20 off their first repair. The offer is limited to one per customer or household, applies to repair labor, has no cash value, cannot be combined with other offers unless we say so, and may be changed or ended at any time.
15. Text messages
If you agree to receive texts, we may text you about your service request, appointments, estimates, invoices, follow-ups and occasional offers. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent to texts is not required to buy service. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
16. Using our website
Content on this website is general information provided as is and may change without notice. Do not attempt repairs yourself based on it, especially on gas appliances and microwaves, which can be dangerous. The site's text, photos and logo belong to Kingdom Appliances and may not be copied without permission. Reviews are always optional and you are free to share your honest experience.
17. Resolving problems
If something goes wrong, please contact us first and give us at least 30 days to try to resolve it. If we cannot, any claim must be brought in the state or small claims courts located in Union County, North Carolina, and each side pays its own costs except as allowed by law or these terms.
18. General
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
- If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- These terms, together with your estimate and invoice, are the full agreement for your service. If they conflict, the estimate or invoice controls for that job.
- We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. The terms in effect when you book apply to that job.
